Today we have another first on AVISTYLE.NET: the first interview with an IMVU 3D Chat developer! And who could be more appropriate for such an occasion than the lovely "POLYSTYRENE" herself? Right to it, here comes the interview...

rosevfx:	u r my first "interview partner", so don't expect me to know what I am doing
polystyrene:	lol - well, i've never been interviewed before
rosevfx:	two virgins there, I guess...
polystyrene:	shall we sit somewhere? couch?
rosevfx:	looks cosy, a room u designed?
polystyrene:	Yup, love my leopard print! All the furniture in here is mine, except for the mic on the stage. Humm so how do we start? lol
rosevfx:	we already did. How long have you been a developer?
polystyrene:	almost 2 years now
rosevfx:	wow, I am tempted to say: "just" 2 years, given the volume you produced. How did you come to do this?
polystyrene:	I heard about IMVU through a friend in an online game i used to play a lot, joined up, and then a few other friends from that game joined too. Had a lot of fun chatting and playing around
rosevfx:	do you have a background in 3D? Creating complete avatars isn't kids stuff
polystyrene:	Nope, not at all. i did art in high school and did a bit of photo editing there. Well, i don't have any 3d modelling programs, but there are other tools i can use. for example poses, a dev called boristheengineer created a pose making program, it's quite easy to use and you don't need the fancy expensive software. mostly I just do texturing
rosevfx:	so you started out for the fun of it?!
polystyrene:	yeah, basically
rosevfx:	cool
